This race series is being held within the British Canoeing Southern Region and by the kind consideration of Manor Farm Country Park

Check in by 1200 noon; briefing 1230 on bank near jetty at start

From barnfield car park kiosk follow signs to pontoon (300 metres) down steps to river bank control in blue campervan on road near jetty (no access for other vehicles)

Entry fee £5 per class/individual

Race Type (sprint and/or classic with approximate distances)            Ranking Sprint and Wavehopper WWR Open class sprint.  0.5 miles 5 minutes each run approximately may be shortened if weather conditions poor

Start and Finish       Manor Farm Country Park, formerly Upper Hamble Country Park, runs along the west bank of the River Hamble between the villages of Botley and Bursledon in Hampshire at grid reference SU496111.  Address: Pyland’s Lane Bursledon, Southampton, Hampshire. SO31 1BH

River type, grade and hazards      Open water on the River Hamble the section can be quite exposed to wind and weather and tide. Race held at top of two tides so minimal tide expected but flood water and weather can alter this. It can be choppy due to weather and boat traffic.
