INDOOR POOL SESSIONS

Throughout the year we run regular pool sessions at Wadurs Swimming pool, Shoreham-by-Sea. The pool is 25m in length and its depth ranges from between 1.8 and 0.8 metres. Through the winter months these sessions are run every Thursday evening from 8.30pm to 9.30pm. During the summer, the sessions are run monthly, the last Thursday of each month. It’s a good idea to arrive around 8.15pm to sign in, pay the entrance fee and change.

Our pool sessions are open to both members and non-members. We have around 10 pool boats that are permanently stored at Wadurs pool for exclusive use in the pool. Other boats may be brought in from outside, but they must be clean (there is no hose facility for cleaning boats at the pool). A committee member will not hesitate in refusing entry to someone with a muddy boat!

Our pool sessions are lifeguarded by Wadurs pool attendants and we have qualified BCU instructor’s level 2 or higher, present for every session. Our pool sessions are very popular venue for learning to roll, or basically doing the things you would probably have second thoughts about in a cold river!

Special Pool Sessions

We run a number of special pool sessions through the year. Canoe teaching/coaching practice may not be available during these sessions, so please make sure you check the calendar.

Boat Demo Sessions

Throughout the year we run a boat demonstration session at the swimming pool, with boats provided by Southwater Water Sports. This is an excellent opportunity to try the latest boats on the market. Just make sure you bring a credit card!
